The Tacoma Microenterprise Cohort Program is a free, city-funded business support program designed to help grow very small businesses in Tacoma.
This program is for you if you're a solopreneur or have a small team and want help with:
Business strategy
Financial planning
Bookkeeping and cash flow
Accessing loans or grants






A half-day, in-person session focused on business strategy and financial fundamentals
Up to 15 hours of tailored coaching for your business
Leave with a system or tool that improves your operations or helps your growth
Introductions and guidance to Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and other financial resources
All qualified applicants accepted into the program will be automatically enrolled in the full program described below.

Applicants will participate in up to 8 hours of personalized coaching through personalized one-on-one guidance to gain practical tools to manage cash flow better, simplify workflows, and make smarter decisions for growth. This program is tailored specifically for microbusinesses, offering a unique opportunity for business owners to strengthen their foundation with expert support.
Coaching time includes work on a tangible deliverable, such as tool/software implementation assistance, or other capacity building activity.

To qualify for this program, you must:
Own a microenterprise in the City of Tacoma
Have 5 or fewer employees (including you)
Qualify as low-income (see chart below)
You will need to provide documentation to prove your household income is at or below 80% of the median income in the City of Tacoma.
