Starting a business is an exciting venture. I think for a lot of people it's a time in their life where they feel like now is the moment to kind of build something of their own. They have their own story, they have their own reason, their "why" of jumping into what they're building.
With that excitement comes reality setting in that "Oh gosh, this is scary. Oh wow I do need to understand understand how to put some financial projections together, perhaps build a team, and I might actually need figure out how to get this business plan prepared," so that's the business that we've built: helping entrepreneurs and small business owners think through some of those difficulties.
At rev we have a particular focus on helping minority-owned businesses, women-owned, immigrant-owned, these are our ha salons restaurants personal service, Professional service businesses, communities that are really underserved and may also be very underresourced, that is our passion here.
We realize that there are a lot of inequities and we want to help business owners build their resilience, helping them make better decisions, be on a path of really productive outcomes so their business can shine, you know that's so important to us
There's so many challenges in starting a business so in the work that we do we can put together that business plan for you collaboratively
KRISTEN: "...and before she franchises she needs to know this is the investment this is the likely return ..."
We can help you put together a financial projection based on your business type...
ALEX: "we're just finishing the financial model and we're figuring out a recommendation on his cash flow reserves that he should have on hand"
...we can help you think through your branding style guide...
SHAASHWAT: ...so I've structured the slides according to the brand coloring along with the typography
that might influence how you build your website which we can also build for you as well
GERGANA: "...he activated the new homepage he's really excited about the new design."
Our approach is to create a really high caliber, meaningful and different experience, and give a flavor for who we're talking to which is really different. At Revby we're thinking about the holistic view of the person the empathy that is required holistically what's the emotion around it how can we set up our experiences our Zoom calls to inspire great dialogue we're getting to then planning and strategy we're getting to execution and tangible deliverables. Let's Implement, let's create material, let's create content, let's get to the doing side of things.
There's so many environmental forces going on all around us right now right I mean we're just coming off of a global pandemic and talking about inflation we're talking about AI and automation and some really advanced things and how is that going to affect my business.
Tools are democratizing access to functions in business that previously were only available to very large businesses. Shopify is helping give access to large e-commerce ecosystems, Canva is helping give access to really sophisticated designs, however it is also introducing a whole host of competition and there's this whole game of catchup. People are struggling with the choices to be made with their digital strategy, and we know that there's still a lot of inequities for minority-owned businesses women-owned businesses and having access to capital affordable capital so a lot of our work is to help our business or our clients start to make sense to of these things and honing in on some focus
Every year it's just more milestones we've been able to achieve here at rev and we're very excited that we've grown to be able to just work with so many more businesses and this year we expanded in other parts of the country to meet and partner with more economic development organizations that have programs to support their local small businesses. The nature of these programs is that they have a start and a finish but we're hearing feedback from our small business on our clients that well the work doesn't stop when the program stops. There is a need for that ongoing support and they appreciate having a trusted partner and often they found that trusted partner in us which we really appreciate we would love to hear from you as well in what you're working on and where we might be able to support the work you do.
